When using ProjectWise with a MicroStation Bentley SewerGEMS CONNECT model, we recommend that you create a Set in the ProjectWise Explorer. Included in this set should be the MicroStation drawing (example.dgn), the Bentley SewerGEMS CONNECT database (example.stsw.mdb), the Bentley SewerGEMS CONNECT model file (example.stsw), and optionally for stand-alone, the stand-alone drawing setting file (example.stsw.dwh).

If you use the Set and the ProjectWise Explorer for all of your check-in / check-out procedures, you will maintain the integrity of this relationship. We recommended that you do not use the default ProjectWise integration in MicroStation, as this will only work with the .dgn file.
